Seventh International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment

The Organizing Committee of the ‘Seventh International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment’ invite you to join us in Cyprus on March 18-21, 2019 to network with leading experts in the field of Remote Sensing and Geo-information. The conference will take place at the Aliathon Holiday Village in Paphos, Cyprus.
The Technical Program is open to all topics in Remote Sensing and Geo-information of Environment and related techniques and applications.
The official opening of the conference will be by H.E. the Minister of Communication and Works, Ms Vassiliki Anastassiadou. The Conference is under the auspices of H.E. the Minister of Communication and Works.
During the Seventh International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geo-information of Environment, a workshop for non-scientific public was organised by Cyprus University of Technology together with the local Copernicus Relay, Cyprus Remote Sensing Society, in Paphos, Cyprus. During the workshop, a series of specific case studies were presented based on the Copernicus services, such as Marine monitoring, Land monitoring, etc.; and Cultural Heritage. The objective was to inform the students about the use of Copernicus Data and promote the cultivation of Earth Observation culture!
Students were offered a first introduction in the opportunities available by the set of data available from the Copernicus missions, such as Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2. Following the presentations, the students will have the opportunity to test the knowledge they acquired through an informative game-based learning platform. Approximately 100 students attended the event.
