The GIS day provides a forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. It is an initiative that aims to bring spatial thinking and geographic information systems to the public. GIS experts invite pupils and school classes to presentations and workshops that allow a look behind the scenes and thus make modern geography experienceable and experienceable.
In 2019 one of the stations will be dedicated to Copernicus, its missions, initiatives, data and services.
